That is still a big subject, there are several hundred pages covering September 1943 in the HW5 files at Kew. Can you narrow it down: type of aircraft, unit, names? What would help?

About which numbers of HW5 are you talking about regarding September 1943, can you give me this information?

It’s quite easy to see for yourself. If you Google “National Archives Discovery” you will get their search facility. Select “advanced search”, then in the box “search within series” type HW 5. In the boxes “date from” and “date to” type 1943. Then click “search”. Sorting the results in date order, you can see how many files there are for September.

My apologies, the correct words are" "Search for or within references" — just type HW 5 in the first box.

OK, see the two attached screen shots. The first one shows the three steps you need to take. The second shows what comes next — see that box "Sorted by: Relevance" that I've highlighted? Just click on that and select "Date - ascending" instead.
