From Legion Condor to nightfighting!

Hello,

Ln. Siegfried Kramer was killed during a mission on July 1. 1944.
He was flying a Bf 109 G-2, Wnr. 14138 and white 15 from 1./NJG Erg.St.
(Deutsche Nachtjagd vol 1 by Michael Balss)

He was awarded the spanish cross in silver with swords and I have tried to find out about his unit in Spain and later too but with no luck!

Does anyone know something about this pilot or know how to point me in the right direction?

Thanks in advance,

Christian

Re: From Legion Condor to nightfighting!

This is all I have found in De Zeng's and Stankey's database:
KRAMER, Siegfried. 21.09.43 Lt., Zugführer in 7. Btr. II./Flak-Rgt. 25 KIA during an air raid on
Kalamaki a/f.

Re: From Legion Condor to nightfighting!

Thank you very much for your effort, that is highly appreciated.

Unfortunately I don't think it is the same Ln. Siegfried Kramer.
The date of their deaths are different and so are their hometowns.
I found "your" Kramer in VDK and "mine" is not posted there at all, probably because he fell on german soil (Ludwigslust)

Have a nice day,

Christian

Many Spanienkreuz holders were ground personnel in Spain and late became pilots in WW2
