An unknown B-24
Hello guys!
Could anyone help me with identification of this B-24.Airfield Sombor,year 1945. |

Flanker,
It appears that Yugoslavia had 4 x B-24J crews as (the) Yugoslav detachment of 376th BG, USAAF. Only one survived and likely this B-24 is on the picture? Must be post-war, as the wartime B-24s had USAAF markings with a Yugoslav AF logo only? Read http://www.armyaircorps-376bg.com/yugo_crews.html for much more details. Regads, Leendert |

Flanker,
Did some more googling and found that the Soviet Union had several B-24s in the inventory, thanks to US aircraft that had stranded in Russian held territory and were not returned.
