Help with Missing ACAs

I am finishing up a book on WWII Navy Aces-in-a-Day. I have had a researcher going through the files in Washington with some success. However, the records for VF-27 and VF-80 seem to be missing. I can understand where there might be a problem with VF-27 because their ship, the Princeton, got sunk. But VF-80? All the victories for VF-27 and VF-80 aces-in-a-day are confirmed in Frank Olynyk's USN CREDITS and STARS AND BARS books so my question is: where are the ACAs? Any thoughts??
