Re: Lt Robert E Bunde and 1st Lt Donald A Michela

I do not find either of these names in either of my USAAF or RAF databases. So what service were they flying for? Are you sure of the spelling of their names?

Frank.

Re: Lt Robert E Bunde and 1st Lt Donald A Michela

Apparently 324th FG, 315th FS with P-47s.

See e.g. http://www.flugzeugabstuerze-saarlan...eibrucken.html for a combat report by these two pilots.

Name of Col. Donald A. Michela pops up post-war (PACAF) as well.

Regards,

Leendert

I apoligize to you both as I have just re read my notes to find out that these pilots were involved in another action and not the one that I am researching... so who shot Erhard Duttmann down on the 1-1-'45 are you able to look that action up .it took place over Bockweiler? and he was buried at Walther Farm he was flying a JU88
