German Aircraft shot down July 1940

Hello to all,
does anyone know, which german plane was shot down on 5th July 1940 over Britain? Or which clashes were on this day? A german crew Franz Martinek was killed. His grave is in Folkestone at the new cemetary now.

Many regards

Miro

Re: German Aircraft shot down July 1940

8./KG1 Heinkel He111H-3. Shot down by Blue Section of No.65 Squadron (F/O G.V. Proudman, Sgt J.R. Kilner, and P/O K.G. Hart) during armed shipping-reconnaissance sortie and ditched in sea off the Warren, near Folkestone, 6.15 a.m. BF Uffz Rudolf Marchlowitz killed, BM Gefr Franz Burger and BS Gefr Franz Martinek both badly wounded and drowned, FF Oberfw Hermann Frischmuth and BO Uffz Gottlieb Wagner both captured slightly wounded. Aircraft V4+GS 100% write-off.
The bodies of Franz Burger and Franz Martinek came ashore at Shakespeare Beach on July 12, another unidentified German airman being washed ashore there six days later. Evidence strongly suggests that this was Rudolf Marchlowitz who is buried as 'Unknown' alongside his comrades in Hawkinge Cemetery, Plot O.11.
