Interesting images of a crashed FW-190. No date or location available

Chris Edwards on a Facebook Aviation Photography page posted the following images. He wrote:

Hope you dont mind me posting this so delete if you like. Just started to have some scans of my Grandads old war photos which I didnt know my nan had, though this maybe of interest.

He was a Captain in the royal logistic corps"

------------

There is no more information about the images.

The first picture he posted shows a group of men all over a FW-190.

-----------

He the posted:

"following on from yesterday and the picture I posted of the crashed FW190. Had some more scans today and these were included"

That is the second image.

Thought I'd share them here, maybe a rough idea of the model and age is possible?

Hello Mysticpuma,

Thank you for posting these fine photos.
Unless I am mistaken, this aircraft has the hallmarks of an Fw 190 G-8. Indicators include: 2xETC503 underwing racks; a right-wingtip-mounted pitot tube; and a bulged fuselage gun cover for 2xMG131 (13mm) weapons—weapons that were standard on the Fw 190 A-8—A-9 and Fw 190 F-8—F-9, but usually omitted in the G-8.

Note too that its wooden VDM 9-12176A prop blades have shattered upon impact.

Can anyone make out the Werknummer visible on its fin? If this is indeed an Fw 190 G-8, its Werknummer would probably be within the 190xxx series.

Thanks Mysticpuma for the pointer, and Steve for your thoughts.

Would it be possible to have the exact FB page ?

Cheers
Marc

Hello Marc. The post is from "Chris Edwards" but it's in a closed group called "Aviation Photographers", so you'll have to join to get access I'm afraid.

Is that anti-glare shields above the exhaust?

Hello Rene,

Regarding the presence of wooden prop blades, you are absolutely correct. I totally missed what appears to be a bent metal prop blade lying under its left wing in the second photo.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Most amazing airframe and photos

Mysticpuma, Could you please ask Chris to provide us with a touch sharper scan which would clearly show the W.Nr.?

Hey Kutscha, I believe that it's just cowling being opened upon the impact and the shadow making it look like anti-glare shields.
