Robert-I suggest strongly you get a copy of Graham Warner's book on the Blenheim as it would answer all of your questions. For example:

2 Jul 41-Possibly Z6171/248 Sqn
7 Jul 41-3 losses but 2 credited to Flak, one to fighters-Z7424/139 Sqn
17 Jul 41-?

I believe my Uncle was lost in Blenheim Z6171 on 2/7/41. His plane was intercepted at low level NW of Texel by Uffz Fritz Metzler of II./JG52

Re: Blenheims losses July 1941

The Blenheim lost on the 17th July was P4832 of the Special Duty Flight, that Lt Hans Schneider of Erg / JG2 shot down off Cherbourg at 15.10 hrs.

It ditched in the sea and the two crew FL/t Douglas Rayment & Sgt Sadler got on to the wing but they were never rescued and are presumed to have drowned.

I have researched the loss of P4832 and believe that this was the only Blenheim lost on 'ops' on 17th July and that the other Blenheim by Erg/ JG2 was a duplicate of the same aircraft, possibly by Schneider's wingman?

Re: Blenheims losses July 1941

There is a very slim possibility that the crew of P4832 were picked up by a He 59 only to be shot down by Ginger Lacey - hence my request for an He 59 lost on 17th July 1941. See separate thread
