Seeking for info about RAF Pilot Hugo Schatz

Hi members!

My father told me that his father told him before his death that he was pilot for the RAF during WW2. As we have no documents, just one picture showing him, we weren't sure if this story was true. Some days ago a historian phoned my father, and wanted to know if we have more information about my grandfather. I was really confused as my father told me about that and that he didn't note the name and phonenumber of that historian. He told my father that he found some information about my grandfather in a british archive.

Maybe someone can help me or knows somebody who can help me finding more information about my grandfather Hugo SCHATZ, born on 10th February 1920 in Strengberg, Thürnbuch 15, Austria

Cheers, Simon

Simon, as a next of kin you can get a complete service record form British MoD. I believe it costs about 30 GPB. I suppose our English friends can direct you for the proper address, I have got only the one for Polish enquiries.
