Syrian Su-22 shot down by US Navy F/A-18 Hornet
On 18 June 2017, A US Navy F/A-18E shot down a Syrian Air Force Su-22 fighter -bomber that allegedly had bombed a position held by US supported Syrian Democratic Forces. Lt. Cdr. Michael "MOE" Tremel was the pilot that made the kill. He was from Strike Fighter Squadron 87 that was aboard the aircraft carrier USS George HW Bush.

There is a list on Wikipedia search under 'Syrian Air Force losses' and a link on the notes no 147 for 2017 losses with an account by the US pilots. The Syrian pilot Capt Ali Fahd is reported to have ejected safely and was found safe next day by Assad forces in the village of Shuwaihat..
