Unknown aircraft 16.12.1942.

Hello all
I am trying to find (for a friend of mine) loss of possible He 111 near Crikvenica (Croatia) on 16th of December 1942.
According to some sources it was from KG 54.
Also in loss reports I wasn't able to find anything (or I just missed it) and there is mention In local diary that German aircraft crashed with 5 crew members KIA.
as always thanks in advance

Re: Unknown aircraft 16.12.1942.

KG 54 converted to the Ju 88 in June 1940 but they did keep a few He 111 for liaison duties however KG54 was located in the mediterranean on that date so it's very unlikely that it's a KG 54 a/c.
No mention of such a flight in Radtke's book.

Re: Unknown aircraft 16.12.1942.

Perhaps this one.

16/12/1942; 6./KG 100; Mittelmeer, Ziel: München-Riem; vermisst bei Überführungsflug; He 111 H-6; W.Nr. 4166; bl A; 6N+AA; II./100; Uffz. Janoschka, Ewald vm.; Überführung nach Schwerin; (B) Uffz. Bockmann, Kurt [vm.] / (Bs) Uffz. Hylla, Norbert [vm.] / Ofw. Scholz, Hans [vm.] / Fw. Wegener, Karl-Dieter [vm.] / Reg.Insp. Gerecht, August [vm.] / Uffz. Braedel, Johannes [vm.] / Uffz. Eckhard, Willi [vm.] 8-0-0-0; Take off from: Comiso

Otherwise, Crikvenica is a town in Croatia located on the Adriatic coast, which is considered to be in the Mediterranean.

The aircraft taking off from Comiso, and flying to Munich-Riem, would likely be flying in direction of Crikvenica.

Regards,
Sinisa
