How to convert the reference points found on DEFE/HW messages into regular coordinates?

Have you tried the converter located here : http://submarine-at-war.ru/docs/gradnetz_eng.html For example, if you are concerned by western France including Brittany, you have to choose 14W for Zusatzzahlgebiet, and in this case 17154 will be located approximatively between Cholet and Bressuire Regards Jean Schreiber |

Hi Marquis
Could you share the DEFE 3 reference if it is available to view online? As you maybe aware depending on source of the message they could be using Luftwaffe grids, Kriegsmarine grids, by the Heer (army) or if from an Allied source the GSGS/AMS grid systems. Kind regards Pierre |
