Re: Ju87 losses Dunkirk - 1 June 1940 - info needed

On 1 June 1940, three Hudsons from 220 Squadron got in a scrap with a large number of Ju87s, off the coast of Dunkirk. The Hudsons claiming a number of these destroyed and damaged.

Can anyone provide details of the German losses and anything to add to my ongoing research. I am primary interested in the claims by P/O Selley, where he was awarded the DFC.

Thanks for your time and help in advance.

Cheers

Danny

220 Sqn (ac J, G, K) was involved with 2 Ju 88s and 5 Stukas 3 miles from Dunkirk at 1636hrs. J was involved with the Ju 88s (no claims), 2 Stukas were claimed damaged and two probable (aircraft K). With so many claims that day (FC claimed five destroyed with another 7 unconfirmed) so say who got whom with any certainty is very hard
