I would call this plane Flugwerk FW-190A-8/N W.Nr. 173056, for not to mix it up with the real Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-8 W.Nr. 173056.

Are Flugwerk W.Nrs. overlapping with Focke-Wulf ones? Or new batch was allocated (as I originally thought)?

Fantastic to see one of these being restored. And in Australia!
I wonder if the post would be better served if it were posted in the Luftwaffe forum .........

The comment in the link about the blown canopy for tall pilots I believe is incorrect. Wasn't the blown canopy first used of the 'F'?

Peter, it was in the Luftwaffe forum but was moved to here as this is strictly a postwar restoration. No questions have been asked about its wartime service.
