Seeking info on fate of Ju87B-1 W.Nr.260

Hello,

For profile work, I'm trying to determine the unit and fate of Ju87B-1 W.Nr. 260. It is believed to have served with StG2 during the Polish Campaign.

Can anyone help?

Regards,

Based on some photoshop enhancement of an eBay image I believe this is T6+AC of Stab StG 2. I guess you bought the photo?

Re: Seeking info on fate of Ju87B-1 W.Nr.260

Chris,

Unfortunately the person who bought eBay Auction #200547382023 wasn't me. I wish the person that did, o***o, would contact me and help solve the W.Nr. of the a/c we know was T6+AC. I do not believe that W.Nr. 260 was T6+AC, but T6+AD, the Gr. Kdr's a/c for III./StG2 during the PC, so we are referring to different photos here.

Regarding W.Nr. 260, a German researcher has contacted me directly and advised: "It was manufactured early 1939 at Bernburg and survived all the fightings, it finally became a trainer with StS 2 latest from July 1941 onwards." So now I know that it wasn't lost during the 1939-40 period, which is what I was hoping to discover.

I know of one buyer from Belgium who's Ebay nick is encrypted into oxxxo. He currently has about 500 feedback scores. Could that be him?

Rudi.
