Halifax III LW551 (ZL-G) Crash
Hi to All!
RCAF 427 Squadron Halifax III LW551 (ZL-G) was shot down March 18, 1944 during a mission to Frankfurt. The plane was shot down 65 km SW of Mainz, Germany. The actual plane crashed near Hillesheim. F/O T. W. Cooper died in the crash. The balance of the crew jumped and ended up in Stalag Luft I. Can anyone help me regarding available German reports and photos related to this crash at Hillesheim, Germany. Big thanks!/Rich Last edited by richw_canada; 12th June 2019 at 13:04. |
