Recommendation for bookstore in...London

Is there a bookstore in London?

Sorry - I admit that I feel a bit ashamed to ask, but I am not such a frequent guest in London as I wish I were. Last time I was there, I wasn't there - it was in March, and I only went to meet a couple of pilot veterans, and really didn't see London. Prior to that, I hadn't been in London since the late 90s.

So going back to London next week, I will not only visit the National Archive, but also plan to go looking for some new aviation books. So which good bookstores are there in London where one can find high-quality WW II aviation books? I will stay near Piccadilly Circus.

33 St.Martins Court (Leicester Sq tube stn.)

And dont forget
Foyles, higher up in Charing Cross rd.
3rd floor , military dep.

they have a very good selection in aviation/military books

And remember to check out - one of my favourites in discounted books
Lovejoys - really worth checking out

also in Charing Cross rd. its just after Les Mis Cambridge circus
on the left side when you walk C.C rd towards Tottenham crt.rd.

------------------------
My recommendation,
start at Motorbooks and continue up Charing Cross to
Lovejoys and then Foyles (also left side)

Thanks a lot, Chris & Bård!

Okay - my next question: Is there somewhere one can get a beer in London? (Naw, that was just a joke - it's vacation, guys!)

Chris - will return to you soon in an e-mail on that photo issue.

"Les Miserables" isn't on at the theatre in Cambridge Circus now, it's "The Woman in White" now (or it was last time I looked).

Another aviation/military/transport bookshop is the Ian Allan Bookshop in Lower Marsh, about 5 minutes walk from Waterloo Station. They sell far more than their own publications.

Although I understand that the marvelous Aviation Bookshop on Holloway Road was sold, I half recall hearing that it (or some reincarnation thereof) now operates at another location. Is the latter true, and if so, what's the new shop like?
