Seeking Information-Oblt. Klages

I am seeking every bit of information I can find regarding an Oberlt. Klages from 3./NJG 4. He shows up on the victory lists with the following:

4 motor on 25 June 1944 at 0034 hours near Abbeville
Lancaster on 5 July 1944 at 0203 hours near Aumale

I am attempting to determine if he is possibly a relative. My family traces back to the region around Hannover-specifically the village of Eschershausen to the south of Hannover some 60 or so kilometers.

My great-grandfather came to the United States in the late 1870s but we still have relatives in the area of Eschershausen.

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

Ron Klages

I have an Oblt Rolf Klages (promoted to Oblt 1 Apr 42) being promoted to Hptm 30 Jan 45. Good chance he survived the war

Chris and Matti,

Thank you very much. I now have a first name so I will begin to check the family records.
