Me 262 losses of KG 51 on 19 March 1945?

In another thread, Nick Beale was so kind as to post the following ULTRA message:

CX/MSS/498/52 BT 8237

((2)) To KABUS (( (Roman) I/KG)) 51, Hopsten from Obpfr. Plattner, stamped 2345/19/3:
...
GK, 110620, OL and 11199(smudge) shot up by a/c armament, 110605 with oblique armament shot up by a/c armament on 19/3 and completely destroyed...

Information from Jan Horn's Das Flurschaden Geschwader, (2010):

1. 110620 was 9K+GK! (pp. 222, 223, 253, 266, 271)

2. 110620 9K+GK was shot down by enemy fighter on 17 March. (p. 271)

3. Giebelstadt was strafed by eight P-51s between 07.57 and 08:02 hours on 19 March losing two Me 262 100% and one Me 262 10%. (p. 272)

4. The two Me 262s lost to air armament were 110605 and 11199?. (p.273)

5. 9K+OL was 111634. (pp. 243, 245)

My questions:

1. Was 110620 9K+GK shot down on 17 March or strafed on 19 March?

2. Was the strafing incident on the 19th at Giebelstadt of Hopsten?

3. If 111634 9K+OL was the third aircraft 10% damaged in the strafing, what was its final fate. Horn makes no mention.

best regards

Jim

Re: Me 262 losses of KG 51 on 19 March 1945?

Mea culpa, Nick. I should have consulted your site before posting. Now, having done so I learn that 1. GK, 110620 was indeed shot up on 17 March and 2. Obpfr. Plattner was reporting from Giebelstadt, therefore the strafing on the 19th was at Giebelstadt.

It is curious that there seems to have been two "GK"s at the same time.

Thank you,

Jim

Re: Me 262 losses of KG 51 on 19 March 1945?

Jim, 111620 was supposed to have been ferried to Neuburg on 10 March. On 17 March it was reported to have been shot up by enemy aircraft. No indication as to where.

The incident on 19 March was at Geibelstadt.
111634 was to be ferried to Neuburg on 7 March.
