Hello ,

B-17 # 42-97987 452BG/730 crashlanded with 3 props feathered on Melsbroek ( Brussel ) airfield on November 16 1944 The pilot was Lt Bobyarchik Alex.

Who has some additional info on this ,

The 452nd BG website has full Loading Lists here: https://452ndbombgroupassociation-de.../loading-lists

Look for Mission 165 (16 Nov 1944) in the relevant Zip-file. At first glance no Lt Bobyarchick (O-817102) and/or #987 that day...

Looks like the mission was 160 on 5 Nov 1944 to Ludwigshafen.

The 452nd BG War Diary merely states in an "A" Squadron report for the 5 Nov 1944 mission:

"The ship flown by Lt. Bobyarchick (987) aborted after the target and landed at Brussells (sic) with two engines feathered and other battle damage."
