Reenactment: Battle of Britain, 70th anniversary
Last month I organized and ran the Battle of Britain (Adlertag), 70th anniversary event on the poplar game Battleground Europe: WW2 Online.
It was made clear thought it was a dedication to those who fought in the historic battle, as a way of honoring them by recreating the event. We had a very good turnout, the event played out despite difficulties, and was so popular it was repeated 3 hours later. Some screen shots and movies of the event: A few of the brave defenders getting ready, note the dark, foreboding sky! (All Hurri I's and 2 Blen I. The Spit Ia's lifted from a different field). And the dastardly aggressor (109E-1, 109E-4, 110, and He-111's) under seemingly optimistic sky: En route Achtung!! Time to bail out! Videos! First mission video with some really great some work for emphasis! Second video, unedited sound. Second mission video with more wonderful sound work! Second mission, unedited sound. And a very craft debrief report (he also made the wonderful videos too). |
