Re: eBay: Allied intrest

Paul,
Yes, I must have done, because my notes specifically say uncoded (photo)
It may have been the same photo I guess.

Re: eBay: Allied intrest

Ed,
Thanks as usual for seaching out and posting all of these.
#4 is interesting to me. It does indeed seem to show P7443, with the 54 Sqn code KL visible. It is usually said to have been KL-E, has anyone seen other photos confirming this please?

One other thing about P7443 is this photo:
https://www.worldwarphotos.info/gall...at-castletown/
The serial is not visible, but it purports to show P7443 as XE-K of 123 Sqn.
The problem is that P7443 is only known to have served with 616 Sqn, 41 Sqn, and 54 Sqn. So which aircraft is in this photo? I note that P8437 is said to have worn this code at some point.

Hi AndyMA - I have same photo in my archive by this serial number, but with notice, that it is probably typo and on the photo is plane P7494 - but it is old info without other investigation - maybe if somebody have ORB or some pilot logbook can confirm, which serial number is for XEoK plane

#5 is Battle K9372 of 103 Sqn, shot down on 10 May 40. A photo showing the full serial:
