Queries on three NJ losses III./KG3, IV./NJG1 and 1./JG300 8-9 October 1943

Dear all,

I have queries on three Nachtjagd losses sustained during the 8-9 October 1943 Hannover/Bremen raid:

-a Ju88 A-4 Beleuchter of III./KG3 was destroyed by ‘friendly’ flak and crashed at Heeßen/Bad Eilsen near Bückeburg, without injury to the crew. What was the W.Nr. of this a/c?

-an aircraft, reportedly a He219 A-1 (W.Nr. 2309 coded G9+AE) of Stab IV./NJG1 crashed at Cloppenburg following air combat with the loss of BF Ofw. Rudolf Müller. Is it correct that this was a He219? Or an Me210?

a Bf109 G-6 of 1./JG300 was assessed as 60% damaged in combat with a Halifax -what was the a/c's W.Nr. and where did it crash?

Cheers and thanks for any info,

Theo

Thanks for comfirming this one René!

(In Balss 1st ed. this was correctly listed as an Me210; in his revised 2nd ed it was listed as a He219, hence my confusion on this loss).

Cheers, Theo

The Ju 88A-4 was WNr. 2559 with 100% damage, no further details listed.

I have no matching Bf 109 loss for your data.

Cheers and thanks for your helpful replies Matti and Gerhard!

A final query perhaps on 8-9 October 1943:

What was the W.Nr. of a Bf110 G-4 of 1./NJG3 that was shot down NW of Essen/Oldenburg on this night?

Best regards, Theo
