4/JG27, 09.06.1940
I have the following entry in the Luftwaffe Loss Records for 09.06.1940:
4/JG27 Messerschmitt Bf109E Missing in combat over France. Lt. Hermann Kugler (F) wounded. Aircraft 100% (write-off). In the book 'Battle of France Then and Now', the only loss for 4/JG27 listed is: Messerschmitt Bf109E. Damaged in combat with French fighters over Villers-Cotterets. Crashed near Oulchy-le-Chateau, 12.40pm. Fw. Karl-Heinz Kranich (F) baled-out and captured wounded. Aircraft a write-off. Anyone know why Lt Kugler was omitted? |

Seems no plane were involved there, hv a look to Prien+ Co Opuses, they complete avantageously the Battle of France past nd present , at least for the fighter units

Kugler was wounded on ground (Unfall beim Hantieren mit Beutemunition) at Fl.Pl. Clastres.
