Re: BF109G-12

Sounds like Blohm & Voss Flugzeugwerke Wenzendorf. Here a link to the lost place (in German) ... http://www.lostplaces.de/cms/content/view/128/33/

Well as far as i know, only Blohm & Voss did this ..... Round about 500 G 12's should have been converted from different G - models, a task absolutely possible for only one company.

Re: BF109G-12

From a German website to be honest (http://www.messerschmitt-bf109.de/ ) the author based his knowledge on a book about the Me 109 written by Rodeike/Prien. Maybe the number is too high - who know's, i also found some numbers around 200 at another page, but at least that would fit with the fact of only one company converting these planes.....

I have some more book's available regarding this plane, in case i should find some more information, i will let you know !

Re: BF109G-12

I just checked the book ' Die 109' written by Heinz J. Nowarra, he said, that only 80 (!) BF 109 G's were converted into G 12 airframes .... sounds more realistic to me.

Re: BF109G-12

Hello Remi,

As for 15191 and 15206: What was the original plane? Bf 109G-4s, G-6s?? Any Stkz available for both planes?

Better: don't use Prien/Rodeike 15205/16000 Erla serial group to answer me since that's exactly where I think there's a "problem"... 15208 is NOT a G-6 based, but still a G-4.

Franck.

Re: BF109G-12

According to production plan No. 227 of 15.12.1944, the conversions of the Bf 109G-12 was only made by Blohm & Voss. By 30.11.44 344 aircraft had been delivered out of a total of 964 on order. Remaining conversions to take place from December 1944 through to March 1946. For obvious reasons, most of these were never delivered.
