Hello!
Its some very nice items!

Strelow was a member of 3. Staffel in Kampfgeschwader 100.

Where I can find information on it and KG100?
What else awards at it and whether it is possible to see the photo?
Thanks

Here is the unit history written on KG 100 (see below)

http://www.amazon.com/Kampfgeschwade.../dp/3879437726

A bit pricey I'm afraid but may have information on your flyer.

The entry for Strelow is incomplete. I suspect his name was pulled from the book on LW DKiG winners and nothing more.

At a minimum he would be entitled to:

1. Qualification badge (FF, BO, FS etc....)
2. EK2
3. EK1
4. Ehrenpokal (maybe, not all crewman received these prior to DKiG)
5. Kampfflieger spange in Bronze
6. Kampfflieger spange in Silver
7. Kampfflieger spange in Gold
8. Possible a spange with Anhanger or numbered.

Other campaign awards are possible depending on when/ where he served.

Re: Gerhard Strelow DKIG holder

Supposedly he got the DKiG based on his performance during the Stalingrad campaign. I./KG100 was fighting there / transporting goods into the pocket.

On the date of awarding, the Gruppe was already on the Crimea (Saki) for rest and later went to South France for training with the new Lotfe 7D before returning to the Ukraine in time for the summer campaign 1943.

Also see http://ww2.dk/air/kampf/kg100.htm

PS: Yes, the Balke-book is a expensive, but also quite good. At a short glance, I couldn't find the G. Strelow in the book.
