2 & 3./106
In early July 1941, 2 & 3./106 were transferred to Schiphol and directly subordinated to Luftflotte 2 and IX Fliegerkorps. Does any have an appropriate KTB that gives details of their operations on the the night of 9-10 July 1941?

Re: 2 & 3./106
In the loss I have the unit is given as KüFlGr. 606, and the code '7T' would seem to confirm that. KüFlGr. 106 was assigned the code 'M2'. Some examples:

Re: 2 & 3./106
Jim P,
I have in my database for Ju 88A-5 4375 2./Kü.Fl.Gr 606 but: according to Michael Holm 606 is stationed in Lannion (north of Brest) and 106 Amsterdam-Schiphol. I tought that my database was wrong and I changed 606 to 106. 7T however is 606. Any idea how this is possible ? Frans.A |

Re: 2 & 3./106
Machines could have flown between or to other bases for any number of reasons - training or orientation flights, closest base due to low fuel, weather (meaning own base may have been experiencing fog or low cloud) to name but a few.

Re: 2 & 3./106
Thanks to all who replied. I am familiar with the fate of these crews but wanted to clarify the purpose of their mission. I think Brian Bines has provided the answer by PM.
