Re: "The Jet Night Fighters" now available

Nick, my antipathy for sans-serif fonts is based on multiple reasons. First, guess what font is generally used for many schoolwork like theses? Arial. So, any book using Arial looks awful. Second, serifed font adds balance to the visuality of the font. This makes reading easier on the eyes.

As for ragged-right, just look at a page. It is rectangular in shape with straight symmetrical edges. Uneven ragged text ruins this symmetry; how would you react if photos had also ragged edges? Ragged-right also is uneconomical as it reduces word count per page. True, economical layout with fully-justified works best with the use of hyphenation. Even for British readers hyphenation was no problem 40 years ago. But today apparently British population is more and more illiterate and these semi-illiterates abhor hyphens and instead of attempting to improve themselves they want to drag general standards down. And ragged-right has been generally first used in magazines for juveniles and children, mentally not fully-developed people.

I received my copy of it, and I find it to be a nice addition to the literature about the Me 262. Especially for those just becoming involved in learning about the aircraft.
