Once again bringing this horse back to the track.

On the 17 Mar 1943 Maj. Philipp's scored his 203rd victory in Russia before taking over JG1. I don't have Prien's JFV 10/I so can anyone advise how many victories he scored after the 17th of March. In Eric Mombeek's book Defending the Reich: The History of Jagdgeschwader 1 'Oesau' it indicates he shot down his 206th victory over a US fighter before going missing. No, US fighter seems to have went down in that area and Fw. Reinhardt allegedly collided with a US fighter. So who might have claimed Obstlt. Philipp in this battle?
