AIRFIX World War II Aircraft of the Aces
Hello there Gentlemen,
some of you might remember the AIRFIX "World War II Aircraft of the Aces" model kit series. There was beautiful artwork on the boxes plus a portrait of the ace who flew the plane. My band colleague compiled a book about that series and endowed me with it. I tried to find out how many kills the aces have scored in the featured aircraft type, respectively. These are my results:

Re: AIRFIX World War II Aircraft of the Aces
Good afternoon Gentlemen,
I've uploaded scans of the cover artwork of this model kit series into an forum album. Enjoy! I wonder if Thomas McGuire is the best choice for representing the P-38H. He scored 16 kills in it. Is he the most successful ace of that subtype ? Kind regards, Michael |
