Does anyone of Jagdflieger shot down 10 Il-2 in a single mission?

Hallo gentlemen.

Is it known, who of Luftwaffe fighter pilots ever claimed 10 Il-2's shot down in a combat mission? Or 12 (or more) Il-2's during a single day?

I am trying to find out, does Rudorffer's "record" on 28.10.44 was beaten by someone.

You can check these days for knowing how much Il-2s were included in the claims.

By the way, how many of enemy aircraft were effectively destroyed by these pilots those days is another matter.

That website does not always have accurate information but I assumed it was thought so at the time it was put up.

Hi Guys

Website above is not vey accurate. Only person to get close to Rudorffer's dodgy record was Franz Schall. Gunther Josten should not be under-estimated in this department(Il-2 destruction), ranked third, and a honest guy as I believe were Brendel and Kittel.
Should be remembered that not only were Il-2's tough, they flew low, very low, thus exposing the attacker to ground-fire, and all sorts of hazards.

Hptm Johannes Wiese I/JG52 was credited with the destruction of 12 Il-2 on 5 july 1943. Victories 77.-88.

Stig, I use a translation program to for the most part but still to get a correct translation that makes sense it is necessary to work it. Have also learned to read some Russian which helps.
