Georg Michalek 10/01/1941
Hi
that day, oblt.Georg Michalek shot down the Hurricane P3579 of 249°Sq (P/O McConnell). What was the Michalek unit? Nothing about that in the two vol.Teil 4/I and 4/II of Jagdfliegerverbande. It seems also that 3 Spits ( P7561,P7310 of 74°Sq),P7590 of 41°Sq makes crash-landing after badly damaged by Bf.109s. I have only one claim (Georg Schott) 2.(J)/LG2 Thanks in advance Michel |

Re: Georg Michalek 10/01/1941
He was Stab II./JG 3. Strangely, the RK book says he had 6 kills in France and Battle of Britain, none of which are listed in the books and the only place I have found linking him with that day is in Foreman's 1941 Part 1. Michalek came to 4./JG 3 on 15 Jul 41 and his first kill was the following day and numbered 12??? Look at this: http://forum.12oclockhigh.net/showthread.php?t=29890

Re: Georg Michalek 10/01/1941
Thanks Chris
We are dealing with a huge area of shadow:it's still a"mysterious mystery"! Of the same, the 12/01/1941,according to Foreman,Oblt. A.Kinsinger (I/JG54) shot down the spit of 3PRU Sqd over Texel. And again nothing on the part of Prien and his team...no record of this victory, whatever the unity! Michel |
