Me 109-G4 & G5 Trop.
Hello:
I was wondering if there was ever a Tropicalized (air filter) version of the Me 109-G4 and 5? It seems that most of the "G" models were tropicalized but I wasn't sure about these two models. Also, which units flew them if known. Thank you. Michael |

Re: Me 109-G4 & G5 Trop.
There are dozens of G-4/Trop photographs available almost everywhere, in all the books on the Bf 109 and in many dedicated sites on the net (one is http://www.me109.info/index-1024.php ).
As for the G-5, it was a pressurized version and I don't remember seeing one with a tropical filter (unless if one counts wrongly captioned G-6/Trop photographs spread around in the past decades...). Hope it helps.

Re: Me 109-G4 & G5 Trop.
Regarding Erla-documents (the sole producer of G-5) was never planned and built a G-5 trop.
