'Every Day A Nightmare

Hello,

I would like to recommend the new book 'Every Day A Nightmare' by William Bartsch. The book includes an amazing amount of detail about American aerial operations (primarily fighter ) and individuals over and around Java during 1941-42. Many primary sources have been used, including diaries, letters and official American, Australian, Dutch and Japanese documents. The brave men of these pursuit squadrons were simply decimated during this campaign. It makes a very compelling story.

The author previously published Doomed From The Start, a history of the fighter groups in the Philippine campaign and December 8,1841, McArthur's Pear Harbor. Both books are the defintive studies on the subjects, so this new one should be great.
