Research help - 9th Air Force air strike (27.09.1944)

Hi! My name is Benjamin and i come from Urmersbach (Eifel, Germany).
In World War II the village Urmersbach was attacked heavily three times: 27.09.1944, 02.02.1945 and 02.03.1945, because of the strategic important rail road to the western front. On 7th March 1945 the people of Urmersbach were liberated from the US-Army.

I would like to know what had happened on that days and maybe you could help me. On the internet I had found the „History of 9th US Air force“ (found on https://de.scribd.com/document/62392...-Force-History). On page 271 of the „History of 9th US Air force“ I had found the following things for the air strike at 27.09.1944:

"Then a significant example of rail cutting activity on the part of XIX TAC aircraft is found in the operations by two of its groups during the three days of 27 to 29 September. During that period 406th Group dispatched 13 missions which attacked rail interdiction targets, and 362d Group dispatched 16. All were of approximately squadron strength (12 to 16 aircraft) and involved a total of 403 planes. A grand total of 59 cuts was reported by –21 by 406th and 38 by 362d FB Group. Their distribution is of interest. Thirteen were on lines specified for rail cutting in the formel program, and six others were closely associated with such lines. A single cut was on the line Daun-Mayen. […].“

According to this, a single train was attacked on the line Daun-Mayen, between Monreal (north east) and Urmersbach (south) in the evening hours of 27.09.1944 from P-47s.

I had found the different squadrons of the above named Fighter Groups:

◾362d Fighter Group: 377th Fighter Squadron;378th Fighter Squadron;379th Fighter Squadron

◾406th Fighter Group: 512th Fighter Squadron; 513th Fighter Squadron; 514th Fighter Squadron

Do you have any Information or reports (combat-, missions or tactical reports) of the above listed squadrons / units for the attack at 27.09.1944 or could you tell me any other helpful information or other contact persons?

Thank you very much and best wishes from Germany,
Benjamin
