Help with losses
Can anyone help us with loss information concerning two aircraft during operations at the time of the Warsaw Uprising in August-September 1944?
1) 15.9.1944 - Ju 87 belonging to I./SG 1 shot down by a Soviet fighter, probably in the Warsaw area, 100%. Need the names and rank of the crew members. 2) 29.9.1944 - Fw 189 shot down by Polish partisan machine gun fire over the Kampinos Forest to the west of Warsaw according to eye witnesses. A search for German documentation on this loss came up empty. Need the Nahaufkl.St. this aircraft belonged to as well as the names and fate of the crew members. Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Doug Stankey |
