About the 100th victory of Oberstleutnant Egon Mayer « the first to reach 100 victories on the Channel Front » on 5 February 1944 :
- What was his aircraft on that day ?
- Who was his victim ?

Thank you.

About the 100th victory of Oberstleutnant Egon Mayer

Hi Phil

I have seen information that states that his victim on this occasion was P-47D-10-RE (42-75063) "HV-J" flown by 1/Lt John Patton of the 63rd FS, 56th FG, USAAF who was killed. I have no information on the aircraft he was flying on that mission but hopefully others can add more. I hope this helps.

Horrido!

Leo

Hi Phil,

The "Little Friends" site has Patton in the 61st Fighter Squadron flying 42-75063 HV-J MACR 2151.
