Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay

Wnr is in fact 790158, from 5(F) 122. Transferred to FlH Odense 29 april 1945.

Hello Junker,

Is this the WNr. that you say is 790158?

Respectfully,

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay

Still waiting for W.Nr. lists be published and the research revealed.
Do not think any Bf 410 there (just Me 410)

Not supporting Ju 188 W.Nr. here, does not make sense to production ranges used.

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay

No Me 410 production listing known to me includes 790xxx range.
On the other hand, 190xxx range is known, appears to include mainly Me 410 B-3s, and some sister ships of W.Nr. 190158 are known to serve with 5.(F)/122 (examples: 190162, 190171, 190172 all lost by this unit in January 1945).

Hello Junker,
I believe we have a "Yanny" or "Laurel" situation here.

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay

I must agree that it is 190158, wich is an A-3. RAF found 5 Me 410 at Odense/Beldinge.
3 W-2, 1 E-3 and 1 A-3.

And black patch of cows fur is "a state" in Germany. Anybody care explan how to make that "Glossy Baige" (RAF Sky type Smooth to some). Not quite official colour from colour chip chart IIRC.

Re: Captured German planes, not from eBay

Dear all,

Here some unique and totally unknown to me photos from Russian sources found thanks to Piotr Ostrobramski, over on face of war FB page:

In this batch, a burnt out Bf 109 G-10 in the Königsberg area:
http://www.sammler.ru/index.php?showtopic=161383&page=1

In this second batch, stunning aerial photos of an abandoned Luftwaffe airfield, possibly Pillau with some aerial shots of wrecked Fw 190's, Ju 87 D's, Fw 189's and Ju 52 as well as abandoned Bf 109 G's. If Pillau is confirmed, those 109's are then possibly from III./JG 51 and the photos taken shortly after 24 April 1945.

Cheers
Marc
