Battle of Britain Schwimmweste and things

Hello

Looking at the interest shown in the items displayed by Roger, i thought i would post my own site on here, its still in construction and has a great deal of work left to be done but i have completed several pages, the one on Sgt Bann of 238 Squadron and a Battle of Britain named Schwimmwest in my collection, together with a first, if rather poor attempt at a gallery of items.

http://www.freewebs.com/tappersrest/index.htm

It will be a good while yet until my site is finished but have a look at the above pages, click on Sgt Bann and Lt Franz Achleitner, try the gallery too.

Regards
Jon

Jon, congratulations on a great site, of course the highlight is Achleitner's Weste. I wish my uncle was still around to have seen it.

I live half a mile or so from Reculver and instantly made the connection with Achleitner. A great piece of history. With the crash site of Uffz Finke a mile or so away in the other direction I never cease to be amazed at how close the action was to this part of Kent
