Remi van Lierde DFC

Hi guys

One for our Belgian friends - has anyone a photograph of Remi van Lierde DFC who served with 609 and 3 Squadrons in WW2?

Cheers
Brian

Hi Chris

I assume I may borrow one or two, please. Also, do you have one of Francis Togs Mellersh DFC (AVM Sir Francis) 96 Squadron?

I hope to get to Kew next week so will look for the CR you require. When you get time I would apprecaite any additions to the list I sent you. Thanks.

Cheers
Brian

Brian: Will send you a scan tonight and hope to check that list this weekend. What combat report (89 Sqn?) and would you have time to look at a WO-reference in the NA (for my CINC)?

Re: Remi van Lierde DFC

I have a photo of a Belgian pilot, Willi van Lierde from 87 Sqn during the Battle of Britain and who was then posted to 609 in 1941. Any relation?

Tim.

Both served on 609 but at different times. I do not think they were directly related

Hi Chris

I sincerely hope you're not one of those in whom we trust not to push the red button!! You're becoming as forgetful as me! You asked me to locate combat reports for Laubman and Needham (412 Sqn) for 23/3/44! Do you still wnay thsese?

Have a nice weekend.
