looking for the Wnr of the He177 crashed on 22 July 1944
On 22 July 1944, a Heinkel 177 crashes upon take off at Uchacq, near Mont de Marsan air base, in the South West of France, most probably because of an engine fire.
This He177 was belonging to Wekusta 2, it was going for a weather reco near Ireland and its pilot was Labmayer. The aircraft burns fiercely and there are no survivors. It is likely (but not 100% sure) that its mark was D7+HK, and its Wnr is unknown. Can anybody around here confirm the Wnr of this A/C ? and its marks ? Thanks, as usual. GC
