9th Air Force ground claim , 18 August 1944 , Normandy
Hello ,
That day a Sq 83 Lancaster bellied in south Dieppe after a daylight bombing . An hour later the crashed bomber was strafed by allied fighters , there 's a footage here at 31.12 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5iKRQiznEZQ I would like to know which 9th AF unit claimed ground victories in that area , especially aircraft destroyed ( no 8th AF such claim that day ) .
