P-61B 42-39445 crash 10 Jan 1945 New Guinea

I refer to https://pacificwrecks.com/aircraft/p-61/42-39445.html

Unauthorized passengers reportedly Army nurse Sgt. Ruth E. Hillman from Buffalo, NY (ASN A-217495) and 2nd Lt. Floyd C. Lovey, who may have been a transport pilot.
Looking for additional info about Lt Lovey, assuming spelling is correct.

All 4 on board survived, wreckage recovered early 1990s.
Pilot Lt Logan G. Southfield an RO Lt. Ben Goldstein.
Accident not on the usual websites like aviationarchaeology.

Thanks for help,

Leendert

Thanks, had seen links while looking for some info about Lt. Lovey. His name stays elusive.

Re: P-61B 42-39445 crash 10 Jan 1945 New Guinea

Newspaper articles from 1989 spell the surname with 'ay' "Floyd C. Lovay" - almost certainly incorrect.

Findagrave shows "Loveys" as a similar family name.

As you probably know there is no trace of "Floyd C. Lovay" or "Floyd C. Lovey" in any currently available family, funerary or U.S. military records (on-line).

Floyd is likely not his birth name.
