Re: He 111H-6 WNr.4279

Sorry, only the Werknummer - 4279. Curiously, a number of the Heinkels with nearby Werknummern served with the KG 27. I have a "Sonderkommando Dora?" entry, but know of no confirmation (this was a mixed-equipment unit).

Re: Interesting album on e bay HE III and mc ?

Hi, Jerry...

The first image... I don't know the (presumably) RAF unit, but the aircraft is an Italian Fiat G.50 fighter.

The He111 is SK+IO, an H-6 subtype, WNr.4279 attached to Sonderkommando Dora. On the LRG website page http://www.luftwaffe-research-group....p?pages/SktzS/, the Stammkennzeichen database confirms these details, with the sources noted as 'Flugsport' (a wartime publucation), 'Aeroplane', the former LEMB website and here on TOCH, presumably in a previous (unspecified) thread.

Regards,

Paul
