I.D for BV-138 lost on 28/07/43 to 890 Sqn

Hello all

Has anyone got an ID for the BV-138 shot down by 890 Sqn Wildcat FN294/J of HMS Illustrious on July 28th 1943, flown by Lt Digby Cosh?

I understand 5 BV-138s of the same unit (Seeaufklarungsgruppe 130) were shot down on the same day...

Regards

Simon

The BV 138C-1 shot down by a Martlet from HMS "Illustrios" on 28.07.1943 came from Staffel 2./406 operating from Trondheim in central Norway. W.Nr. 0310098 and unit code K6+KK. The crew of six were all
reported missing. In addition to this aircraft the same unit lost another
four aircraft this day, all near Shetland in air combat with Bristol Beaufighters of No. 404 (RCAF) Squadron.

Many thanks indeed Seaplanes, that's exactly what I was after.

And thanks to the Moderator who moved this to the right section!
