I agree but in the German section of the forum it's Germans that we tend to discuss.

There is no question that Rudel was a physcially brave man but his own book left me in no doubt that he was an unrepentant Nazi. He may have been a hero in National Socialist Germany but citizens of democracies are entitled to take a more detached view.
And what's the alternative...?
Being a "numbers next to men's names fetishist hero-worshipper?"
Not bothering to examine the events of 8th February 1945 just because we might reveal the truth about something?

Hello,

from Soviet side it is more easily to check than tanks losses. But from German side I saw only reports of Flivo AOK16 about Lfl.1 activity.

Extracts about anti-shipping actions 23.Sep41 (Lagebericht Nr.97):

I.FK:
... Stukaangriffe auf Schlachtschiffe ...
Erfolge: ... mehrere Nachtreffer auf Schlachtschiff "Oktoberrevolution" ...

VIII.FK:
... Angriffe auf Schiffsziele in Hafenanlagen Kronstadt ...
Erfolge:...

Maybe more detailed reports are known? With time, aircraft types, bomb load etc.
And where StG2 was on 23.Sep.41 - in I.FK or in VIII.FK?

Best regards,
Andrey

Also interesting are Rudel's claims on 70 or so destroyed landing crafts. At the time when he describes them, there were no major landing operations in Black sea. Even more interesting, there was a video on YouTube with camera footage of attacking landing craft. Those boats were still in the shallow water, not maneuvering.
Combined with the dates, if looks rather suspicious. I would guess that he practiced fire on abandoned ships.

Here is video:

"Landing crafts" were wooden boats without motors. It was in swamp area NE Temryuk (Kuban area) in May 1943. Engineer staff of North-Caucasus Front built 2000+ such boats on-site, several hundreds of them were lost during the operation - due to aviation attacks, artillery fire etc. Luftwaffe used against them Bf110, Hs129, Ju87, Bf109 etc.
In that case the personal results of German pilots are unverifiable.

Best regards,
Andrey
