Old Aviation archaeology Group
Just wondering if anyone was or knows any ex members of an aviation archaeology group who were based in Cambridgeshire in the early 1970`s and probably earlier. I believe they were called something like The Cambridge Aircraft Preservation / Recovery Group. Apparently they looked at a number of Cambs and locally adjacent other county based crash sites and I would like to see if any info exists in relation to several crash sites that I have an interest in. If anyone could pass on this request to ex-members or put me directly in touch it would be greatly appreciated.
Kind regards all Julian Evan-Hart |

Re: Old Aviation archaeology Group
Wasn't this the organisation with which Steve Gotts was involved?
I think he is still in the Cambridge area. Teversham perhaps? |

Re: Old Aviation archaeology Group
Hi Andy I believe you could be right on that...I did a few P51 digs with Steve many years ago...I will try and see if I can re-contact him. Thanks for this what an amazingly small world we aviation archaeologists have eh? Great to finally meet you at Duxford a few weeks back all the best with your newly released books....Julian
