GOTHA - 2nd Lt. Gardner - 1919

Could anyone point me in the direction to obtain any details of the death of 2nd Lt John H. Gardner, 100 Squadron RAF, who was killed flying a Gotha from Cologne as part of the Armistice arrangements on 9th January, 1919. He is buried at Colgne Southern Cemetery which I visited last year.
Would appreciate any information on crash, cause, location or photo of the aircraft type.
