Information concerning the loss of Feldwebel Willibald Zimmer - Zerstorer crew member - 11.08.1942

Could anyone provide details over the loss of Feldwebel Zimmer who was lost over the north Sea on the 11th August 1942.

Fw Wilibald ZIMMMER was lost in Me 110 D-3, W Nr 4352, D5+NS, of 9./NJG3 along with Lt Lambert SPITZER and Uffz Johannes THIELE on night of 10/11.8.1942.

Was he operating over England? Who or what would have been his target/

Interestingly, I have the sterbebild for Lt Lambert Spitzer too

It was a night fighter unit and not operating over UK.

It is shown as a war flight, Skagerrak, over the sea.

It would be intresting to one day see a list of your Sterbebild collection!
