Focker Wulf 44J W-NR 1320

Hello guys
I was directed to the forum in my search on info on this FW 44J werk number 1320 built in 1936. I found this little piece of history Here in Denmark on a former lw airfield.

Is it possible to get more info on this FW40J ? Unit etc?

All help and input very much appreciated.
All the best
Lars

Re: Focker Wulf 44J W-NR 1320

Beeing familiar with wood-wings (rebuilding odd-pair of KZ VII wings must count?), this seems be tip-end-rib (rounding the edge-bend) with a true W.Nr. plate.
But catch might be, from 1937, just the fuselage still held true W.Nr. and after (any) crash, the fuselage might just get new pair of wings and fly on. This was because delays in parts repairs were hampering making planes airworthy quicker, so assembly with (any) ready parts was the norm. So this (could) come from just about any Fw 44J scrapped or crashed, even post war.

Re: Focker Wulf 44J W-NR 1320

But is it possible to search somwhere on the werke number, have seen some other threads where it has been done, and it might connect the plaine with the place it ended its life moste likely right after the war, where the german plaines were destroyed here in Denmark . Would be nice to find out more about its history. Is the an archive or a book to try to look it up?

Cheers
Lars

Doing research might turn up some. Here some batches and numbers are mentioned.
Also exported to Sweden and elsewhere. I do not have a file for this type. Sorry.

Re: Focker Wulf 44J W-NR 1320

No Fw 44 was recorded at Frederikshavn may 1945. Only 51 Bf 109, 1 Bf 108, 2 Ar 96 and different types of gliders. All Bf 109's were destroyed at Frederikshavn. And you have to understand that Luftwaffe records are far from complete. Most destroyed may 1945. I have not been able to find a Fw 44 under that Wnr.
